About the role

We are looking for an experienced HGV driver to cover a busy multi-drop route delivering cages of linen to our Hospitality customers, throughout the Kent, London, Essex, Sussex and Hertfordshire areas. The role reports to our site in Northfleet, Kent

The role is fulltime role working the afternoon pm (nights) shift.

  • CAT C Multi-drop delivery and collection driver of Hotel Linen
  • Excellent rates of pay:

- £20.49 per hour (working Tuesday to Saturday and then every other Monday O/T as needed or required by the business)

  • Weekly Paid into bank account every Friday
  • 29 days holiday accrued pro-rata – work bank holiday Mondays
  • Knowledge of Drivers hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph compliance
  • Daily Paperwork Completion: Daily Safety Checks, Vehicle defect reports, route manifests, collection and delivery notes, driver debrief, time sheet, fuel log
  • Last point of call between Elis and our customers, so must be customer focused
  • Manual handling, health and safety, Safe Systems of Work & risk assessment training provided as well as company uniform
  • Based at Elis Northfleet (Gravesend Kent). The depot delivers a service to a large geographical area covering Kent, London, Essex, Sussex and Hertfordshire

REQUIREMENTS

  • CAT C License Essential
  • Driver CPC Essential
  • Clean driving license preferred
  • Needs to pass In-house driver assessment
  • Tachograph Compliance essential
  • Use of in cab telematics (Webfleet) and DVS equipment required
  • The use of a handheld delivery & navigation device - GLAD
  • The job is of a physical nature, delivering and collecting cages of linen and does involve some bag work at customers
  • One year’s CAT C driving experience preferred.
  • Must be flexible – able to work any shift required, must be available to change shifts / routes with given notice, or work additional shifts depending on business requirements
  • Hard working / can do approach and positive attitude essential
  • Must be able to Communicate
  • 6-month probationary period to be completed
