HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers Wanted – Excellent Pay & Consistent Work

Full-Time / Part-Time | Day Work & Occasional Tramping Available
LTD Company & Self-Employed Drivers Only

Pay & Benefits

  • £200 per shift (up to 13 hours worked)
  • £20 per hour overtime after 13 hours

About the Role

DMBROTHERS is looking for professional and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our growing team based in Swanscombe.

The role is mainly focused on local and day work, offering a good work-life balance.

Start times are flexible and can begin from as early as 03:00 AM, depending on operational and customer requirements.

We aim to provide a minimum of 5 working days per week ensuring stable and consistent income.

While most work is completed on a same-day basis, flexibility is required. During quieter periods, operational needs, traffic delays, long waiting times at customer sites, or situations where a driver cannot return to the yard, an overnight stay may be required. In these cases, a £25 night out allowance will be paid.

Key Responsibilities

  • General haulage work using curtainsider trailers
  • Safe, timely, and efficient deliveries across the UK
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and required paperwork
  • Ensuring loads are correctly secured at all times
  • Maintaining a professional attitude with customers and colleagues

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence (max 6 penalty points)
  • Minimum 2 years UK Class 1 driving experience preferred
  • Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-focused attitude
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Must operate via LTD company or self-employed
  • Flexibility for early starts and occasional tramping

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Sunday operation
  • Primarily day work / local work
  • Flexible start times from 03:00 AM onwards
  • Full-time & part-time opportunities available
