Full job description
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of the English language and a commitment to fostering a love for literature and communication among students. This role requires creativity, patience, and the ability to engage students in a dynamic learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, in an interactive manner.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Incorporate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through discussions of literature and writing exercises.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Experience
- A degree in English, Education, or a related field is essential.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory; newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students of all ages.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in lesson planning and assessment.
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their full potential in the English language.
Note: This is currently a part time position with a view to eventually move to full time
