Full job description
Are you a proactive, creative and well-rounded marketer ready to take ownership of client projects and make a meaningful contribution within a growing agency?
We’re a friendly, creative agency based in beautiful surroundings on the outskirts of Lymington. We’re looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Executive to help us deliver high-quality campaigns, content and creative ideas across a varied portfolio of clients.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys the full marketing mix rather than specialising in a single discipline. You’ll combine strong copywriting and digital marketing skills with excellent organisation, confident client communication and the ability to manage projects from brief through to delivery.
The role
Working closely with the Director & Marketing Manager, you’ll take day-to-day responsibility for a small portfolio of client accounts while contributing to projects across the wider agency.
You’ll plan and deliver marketing activity, manage timelines and client communication, create engaging content and use performance insights to improve results. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, think ahead and identify opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a small portfolio of client accounts
- Planning and delivering ongoing marketing campaigns and projects from start to finish
- Acting as a confident day-to-day contact for clients
- Attending client meetings and events and representing the agency professionally
- Managing project timelines, task lists, deadlines and deliverables
- Identifying engaging stories and turning them into effective marketing content
- Writing and editing blogs, case studies, website copy, email campaigns, social media posts and customer communications
- Building and managing email campaigns, including segmentation, automation, subject-line testing and deliverability monitoring
- Planning, creating and scheduling social media content
- Updating websites, blog posts and landing pages using WordPress or similar platforms
- Supporting SEO activity, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, meta descriptions, internal linking and content improvements
- Reviewing campaign and website performance using tools such as Google Analytics
- Preparing clear reports, recommendations and campaign updates
- Carrying out competitor, audience and market research
- Contributing ideas and identifying opportunities to strengthen client marketing activity
- Supporting the agency’s own marketing and the wider team when required
About you
You’ll be a capable all-round marketer with a focus on digital who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You’ll be comfortable managing several priorities at once, communicating directly with clients and moving projects forward with minimal direction.
You will have:
- At least two years’ experience in a broad marketing role, ideally within an agency or client-facing environment
- The ability to manage projects independently from initial brief through to completion
- Strong copywriting and editing skills, with excellent written English
- Experience creating content for websites, blogs, case studies, emails and social media
- Experience using content management systems – WordPress, WIX, Squarespace
- Experience using Mailchimp and HubSpot
- A good working knowledge of SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media and website content management
- A working understanding of Google Analytics and digital marketing reporting
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing projects and deadlines
- Confidence communicating with clients by email, over the phone and in meetings
- A keen eye for detail and a thorough approach to proofreading and quality control
- A strong creative eye and an interest in visual storytelling
- The ability to understand and apply brand guidelines consistently
- A proactive mindset, with the confidence to take initiative and think ahead
- The ability to contribute ideas and identify ways to improve campaigns
- A flexible, adaptable and hands-on approach
- An interest in emerging marketing, automation and analytics technologies
Experience managing Google Ads campaigns would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential.
Why join us?
This is an excellent opportunity to take greater ownership of your work, strengthen your client management experience and develop your skills across a broad range of marketing disciplines.
You’ll join a supportive and collaborative team in an inspiring New Forest location, working on varied projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. Your ideas will be welcomed, your contribution will be valued, and you’ll have genuine scope to grow with the agency.
If you’re an organised, curious and creative marketer who enjoys building client relationships, producing excellent work and making things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a hybrid role, with three days spent in the office expected and two days of home working each week.
Access to your own transport is essential due to our semi-rural location. There is plenty of free parking on-site.
If you fit the above points and you like the sound of this position, then please send us your CV and covering letter (no more than 300 words). Any CVs without a cover letter will not be accepted.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (may also consider part-time position of 3-4 days a week, salary pro-rata)

- Enhanced holiday – 39 days a year, including:
