We are looking for a Driver Valeter to join our busy Bodyshop team in Poole. Our Driver Valeters ensure the highest level of customer care and satisfaction are delivered at all times.

The Opportunity:

Your main responsibilities will be to keep the busy site flowing, maneuvering vehicles in and out of the showroom and forecourt, as well as assisting customers and Hendy colleagues by parking and moving vehicles booked in for repairs.

As a Driver Valeter you will also be responsible for ensuring vehicles are cleaned and prepared ready to be returned to our customers or for display in the showroom (including washing and vacuuming). Other role responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring any additional service or repair requirements identified by the customer are passed on to the Bodyshop team;
  • Keeping service vehicles well maintained and clean, raising any concerns about the vehicle's maintenance to your manager;
  • Supporting wider teams on site to achieve their objectives and work with colleagues across the dealership to investigate and resolve customer complaints;
  • Maintaining a professional manner and high standards of personal and vehicle presentation.

The Rewards:

As well as a competitive salary, we offer a structured career with the opportunity for personal development and training within our rewarding environment. In addition, you can expect the following benefits:

  • Bespoke induction and learning programme and comprehensive ongoing training throughout your career;
  • Enhanced family leave benefit;
  • Life Insurance;
  • Bupa Healthcare Cash Plan for you and your family;
  • Opportunity to join the company pension scheme;
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), increasing with length of service;
  • Discounts on new vehicle, used vehicle, service and parts purchases;
  • Various perks and discounts with high street and online retailers and services.

Hendy Induction - please be advised that any new starters joining the business in their first week will be expected to attend a structured induction programme that will involve 2 days at our training academy in Portsmouth. More details will be shared at interview.

About You:

  • Aptitude for building positive customer relationships - you will enjoy working in a team and supporting colleagues wherever possible;
  • Have a meticulous eye for detail and the desire to ensure every vehicle is completed to the highest standards, exceeding our objectives;
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise;
  • Manual handling experience;
  • A good level of fitness to be on the move and on your feet most of the day - you will enjoy walking and being outdoors;
  • Awareness of how to protect yourself and others through strict adherence to relevant health and safety requirements (knowledge of H&S COSHH desirable);
  • Full UK driving licence, and previous driving experience (essential).

The ideal candidate will be a positive, self-motivated person with strong communication skills to deal with customers professionally.

Successful candidates will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including right to work verification and DBS checks.
