Purpose of the Role:

Due to our ongoing rapid expansion The Wimpole Clinic Ltd is seeking a detail oriented and organised Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records to join our growing team at our Harley Street Office. The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and experience with Xero accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile the customer and supplier ledgers.
  • Raising customer invoices and assisting with credit control.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Maintain accurate records of receipts, expenses, and tax documents.
  • Inter company transactions must reconcile accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Producing reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
  • Providing general administrative support and assisting with monthly management accounts to the Finance Manager.
  • Managing finance related correspondence and queries.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or administrative role.
  • AAT Qualified or working towards an accounting qualification is desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping and financial administration.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Xero and Sage.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
