Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and reliable Approved Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, along with practical experience in handling electrical components. The Approved Electrician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all electrical work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a reputable organisation committed to quality and safety.

Most of our contracts are locally based in the Liverpool and northwest areas with the possibility to work nationwide with enhanced rates of pay.

Own transport preferred but vans will be provided once initial verification of ability’s have been undertake.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conducting inspections to identify electrical issues and implementing effective solutions promptly.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute projects accurately.
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safety procedures.
  • Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks.
  • Troubleshooting electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and techniques.
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely project completion.
  • Keeping detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and wiring practices.
  • Demonstrable experience working with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools including drills and saws.
  • Electrical experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of current electrical codes and safety standards is essential.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics accurately.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a recognised Electrician’s certification or equivalent are required.
