Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join 4 Plus School Entrance Team. We see children on Saturday and Sunday mornings at our Hampstead site and prepare them over a year for 4 Plus competitive school entrance to schools such as Highgate, UCS, NLCS, South Hampstead and Habs. We have a spectacular track record with 70-90% of our applicants being successful. This is based on our proven pedagogical approach. But at the heart of it is great educators.

We look for qualified teachers or high level teaching assistants who have experience of the 4 Plus in their own schools. We are not interested in your inside knowledge or experience and we never place you with a child applying for a school that you work at. Rather we want educators who understand the standard and know how to work with anxious parents who put education first but often need help and guidance to be their best selves.

Responsibilities

  • Run 4 Plus behavioural assessment session
  • Run 4 Plus child behavioural coaching sessions
  • Give clear feedback and advice to parents
  • Help run group days
  • Run phonics and numeracy intensive courses
  • Run other behavioural courses such as our spatial reasoning, bilingual courses and finding your voice course.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
  • Experience of working in a school which does a 4 Plus assessment
  • Experience with read, write inc (our phonics course)

Our sessions are on Saturday and Sunday mornings and our courses are in the mornings in the holidays. You do not need to commit to every session as we do like to mix the teachers up.

We also have sites in Westminster and in Dulwich if this is more convenient for you. Some of our teachers at Hampstead based schools work from there to avoid seeing families they might know.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £50.00 per hour

Experience:

  • EYFS: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person
