We’re recruiting a Plant Hire Desk Manager for a well-established Plant Hire Business that expects high standards, fast decisions, and strong leadership on the desk.

If you’re experienced, confident managing pressure, juggling plant availability, handling demanding customers, and leading from the front then keep reading.

The Role

You’ll take full ownership of the hire desk operation including making critial commercial decisions to maintain hire rates, relationships and overall profitability.

That means:

  • Managing and prioritising all hire enquiries
  • Maximising fleet utilisation and revenue
  • Coordinating seamlessly with yard and transport
  • Handling commercial customers confidently
  • Driving service standards and accountability
  • Improving processes where needed

You won’t be micromanaged — but you will be accountable.
