Hockey Coach – Let's Play Hockey
Location: Various UK Locations
Pay: £10.00 - £12.70 per hour (depending on age and experience) + holiday pay
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM OR 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM (venue dependent)
Contract: Seasonal / Temporary
Travel Expenses: 30p per mile after the first 35 miles per day (lift-share uplifts available)

Let’s Play Hockey – Designed for children aged 6 to 16 years, our camps are the ultimate hockey adventure for outfield players.

The camp delivers fun and engaging activities focusing on honing basic skills and fostering game awareness. Our dynamic approach includes small-sided games, skills circuits, and exciting challenges, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience for every participant.

Your Role as a Hockey Coach:

  • Lead a group of children, delivering structured and engaging hockey sessions.
  • Implement technical coaching, focusing on core skills, stick handling, passing, shooting, and game strategy.
  • Encourage teamwork and sportsmanship through our BEST (Bravery, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship, Teamwork) ethos.
  • Ensure all sessions, especially drills and match-play activities, are conducted safely.
  • Support camp operations, including set-up, registration, and supervision during breaks.
  • Communicate with parents when required and contribute to the overall camp experience.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • A Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one).
  • Sound safeguarding understanding.
  • A basic understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Experience leading a group.
  • Experience delivering hockey coaching independently.
  • Passionate about working with children.
  • Hold a Level 2 Hockey Coaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Detailed knowledge of Hockey.

Desirable:

  • Good ability to communicate with parents.
  • Previous experience working on a holiday camp.
  • Evidence of regular CPD.
