Self-Employed High Intensity CBT Therapist

Working Pattern: Flexible (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm)

About the Role

Cognitive Wellness CIC is an established NHS Talking Therapies provider delivering high-quality psychological interventions across the Midlands.

We are currently seeking qualified High Intensity CBT Therapists to join our growing service on a self-employed basis. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work within a structured and supportive clinical environment.

Practitioners will be allocated up to 12 clients per month, with payment at £200 per client for a full course of treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver High Intensity CBT interventions to clients presenting with anxiety, depression, and related disorders
  • Manage a caseload of allocated clients, ensuring timely progression through treatment
  • Conduct assessments and structured therapy sessions in line with NHS Talking Therapies protocols
  • Accurately record all clinical work on IAPTUS, ensuring compliance with service standards
  • Monitor clinical outcomes using measures such as PHQ-9 and GAD-7
  • Identify and manage risk appropriately, following safeguarding procedures
  • Participate in clinical supervision and case management sessions
  • Work in line with service KPIs, including recovery rates and session delivery expectations

RequirementsEssential

  • Qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist
  • BABCP accredited or working towards accreditation
  • Experience delivering CBT within NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT)
  • Strong understanding of outcome measures and stepped care model
  • Ability to manage caseload independently
  • Competent in risk assessment and safeguarding

Desirable

  • Experience using IAPTUS
  • Experience delivering group interventions
  • Experience working with diverse populations
