Full job description
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled Physiotherapist to join our established allied health team in York.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred MSK care alongside our team of physiotherapists and our wider allied health offering (including podiatry and physio-led classes). We pride ourselves on a "5-star hotel" standard of care—where clinical excellence meets warmth, attention to detail, and genuine rapport.
This post offers excellent flexibility. Whether you want to maintain an NHS post, balance other commitments, or build a strong private caseload, we can tailor your clinic schedule. As your patient retention, trust, and proactive engagement grow, your available hours and earning capacity will expand accordingly.
What You’ll Do
- Clinical Excellence: Conduct comprehensive assessments, establish clear diagnoses, and deliver evidence-based treatment plans for varied MSK conditions.
- Active Rehabilitation & Classes: Integrate hands-on therapy with progressive exercise rehabilitation; opportunity to lead or cross-refer into our structured physio-led classes.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside fellow physiotherapists and our podiatry service to ensure joined-up, holistic care for complex lower-limb and spinal cases.
- Patient Retention & Relationship Building: Build strong, long-term therapeutic alliances, empowering patients to achieve their functional and lifestyle goals.
- High-Value Patient Journey: Provide an unhurried, premium clinical experience where nothing is too much trouble.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification MSK experience (equivalent to NHS Band 6).
- Credentials: BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy, current HCPC registration, and CSP membership.
- Clinical Autonomy: Confident managing a diverse caseload independently while remaining a collaborative team player.
- Approach & Mindset: Friendly, approachable, highly organised, and self-motivated. You care deeply about clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Communication: Clear, empathetic communicator who can explain complex issues simply and inspire adherence to rehab plans.
What We Offer
- Fixed hours contract and salary: All our employees are PAYE giving you safety and security.
- Salary of between £35k and £40k pro-rata'd to your hours.
- Working Patterns: To start with, your hours will be primarily evenings, with Saturdays as an option. However, we will look to expand this as your patient base grows.
- Growth & Earning Potential: A clear, transparent path to increase clinic hours and remuneration as your patient base and clinic contribution grow.
- Collaborative & Inclusive Culture: A down-to-earth, supportive working environment where clinical talent is valued, egos are left at the door, and everyone is welcomed.
- Cross-Disciplinary Environment: Access to an established patient community, internal referral networks, and class programmes.
- In-service training: is included as part of your role.
