Team Leader (Operations) Therapeutic Adult Supported Living

Salary £14.50 per hr

Overview

Elevate Supported Living Services are seeking to employ caring, responsible and experienced Therapeutic Adult Team Leaders with life experience and relevant care qualifications to join our expanding team in Nottingham and Derbyshire.

Elevate Supported Living Services provides therapeutic, innovative and creative support for adults that require support with mental health, complex needs and learning disabilities. This will include personal care.

The rate of pay for this role is £14.50

Job Details

As a Therapeutic Adult Team Leader you will support adult citizens through a range of direct and preventative work.

You will assist the management team in the effective management of Elevate which will include the on call responsibility to response to a request for advice, help or assistance within Elevate. This includes travelling to each property whilst on shift, doing spot checks and ensuring the property and service is being effectively managed.

You will check and ensure that staff allocation of duties, responsibilities, regular coordination and leading of shifts is being delivered to a high standard and you will cover any gaps on shift or provide a second person on duty, until relief staff can be secured.

You will assist in the guidance and support of staff on shift and support staff members on duty, including relief and agency workers, assisting them in their professional development and advising them in relation to Young people’s practice care planning and home management.

About You

You must hold a full NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care and be willing to work towards further qualifications as required.

You must have a clear understanding of the protection of vulnerable adults and relevant safety issues and be able to support citizens who have been abused.

You will be competent in managing complex and difficult behaviour patterns presented by citizens and be able to demonstrate a range of interventions that are effective in behavioural management.

You will have a comprehensive knowledge of the development needs of citizens and ensure that the physical, emotional and identified primary care needs of adults are met through the development and maintenance of a supportive and caring environment.

You will be a positive role model and mentor to new members of staff and complete appraisals and monthly supervisions.

Our holistic and therapeutic model focuses on a person-centred approach and consists of supported employment, training and social enterprise. This includes hot tubs at each property.

We provide animal therapy, music therapy, art therapy, CBT counselling and wellbeing programmes.

All staff are expected to maintain high standards of customer care in the context of the Elevate Core Values, to uphold the Equal Opportunities Policy and Health and Safety standards, and to participate in training activities necessary to their post.
