Come and join one of the UK's largest providers of complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.

Are you looking for a highly rewarding role that challenges both your clinical and leadership abilities?

Become a part of our dynamic and motivated multidisciplinary team, renowned for their holistic, patient-centred, and evidence-based approach to neurorehabilitation.

We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Neuropsychologist to join our expanding therapy service at Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre; a modern, independent hospital offering inpatient Level 1 intensive brain injury rehabilitation services with 29 NHS England funded beds for the South West of England. Additionally, we provide slower-stream rehabilitation (Level 2) for up to 23 patients. Both services are managed in collaboration with North Bristol NHS Trust.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within an established team of professionals, including Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine and a Consultant in Neuropsychiatry, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, and Rehabilitation Technicians, all dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries.

The successful candidate will provide a neuropsychological service at a high level of clinical expertise, supporting and advising colleagues on all issues of clinical practice, and providing expert professional guidance to Neuropsychologists, Clinical psychologists, and other clinicians within the unit. Alongside this you will provide clinical leadership, management, and direction for inpatient neurorehabilitation within the Psychology team. This will include offering expert clinical supervision for psychology and non-psychology staff on matters relating to neuropsychology, and to provide QICN-accredited supervision for candidates undertaking this qualification.

The post-holder will benefit from:

  • The chance to work within a highly skilled and experienced interdisciplinary team
  • The opportunity to enhance your specialist clinical and leadership skills
  • Regular clinical and managerial supervision
  • A strong commitment to your continuing professional development (CPD)
  • A variety of training opportunities aligned with your personal development plan (PDP)

If you are passionate about neuropsychological rehabilitation and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as soon as possible, as the advert will close once a sufficient number of applications have been received.

For enquiries or to arrange an informal visit, please contact Jo Heath (Head of Therapies), Suzy Moss (Hospital Director) or Dr Alana Tooze (Consultant Neuropsychologist) on Tel No: 0117 9562697
