West Kirby School & College is seeking to appoint a dedicated Lead Occupational Therapist (OT)

Salary Band: £36,155.88- £41,436.52 (Pt 27-31)

Working hours: 37 hours per week however a part time contract or flexible hours could be considered

Contracted Weeks: 44.6 Weeks

*This role attracts a sign on bonus* The newly appointed candidate to this role is eligible to receive a one off £2,000 sign on bonus. £1,000 will be paid to the employee in their first salary payment, and a further £1,000 upon the satisfactory completion of the employee’s probationary period.

West Kirby School and College caters for children and young people, aged 5-19 years, with a range of complex special educational needs and disabilities and offers day and/or residential provision. We support pupils with social and communication difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Condition; complex learning, sensory and emotional needs, across a range of cognitive abilities. Flexibility, humour and willingness to go the extra mile are essential for all staff to ensure a high standard of support for all our pupils.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to lead the OT provision in our outstanding school and college and support the team to ensure our pupils achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will be working in a well-resourced, high specification Occupational Therapy suite with sensory rooms and outdoor spaces designed to support a range of sensory needs. You will have the facilities and resources to make sure every pupil receives the input and makes the progress they need plus the support from a dedicated multi-professional team to promote a holistic approach.

The wellbeing of staff is a priority so there are plenty of additional extras – as well as benefitting from school holidays there are half-termly staff wellbeing sessions, free lunch, well cared for staff room and staff facilities, Benenden Healthcare, gym facilities, various financial supports e.g. car loan, CPD opportunities and the school values which creates a culture of respect and acceptance.
