The Elms (RMN/RNLD) -

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Nurses who would like to make a positive change to the lives of young people that we support. Associated Wellbeing are currently advertising for Registered Nurses to join the organisation within our new provision The Elms which will be opening soon. The Elms is a 8 bedded care home for young people aged 16-25 in Yorkshire. The Elms will have a range of interventions available to the young people we support and the provision is designed to support young people completing a full DBT therapy package.

The Elms will support young people of 16yrs+ moving into adulthood. The Elms will provide evidence-based, trauma informed, health and social care for young people. It will allow for a smooth transition into adulthood within a homely environment. The Elms is specifically designed to meet the Young Person’s developmental needs and to offer emotional, relational support, as well as environmental, security and safety support.

The Elms is a step-down rehabilitation provision, providing intensive psychological treatment and support for service users identified as requiring rehabilitation support via psychological therapy and interventions. Young people residing at The Elms will have access to a full programme for Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based approach aimed at supporting young people to develop skills to: become more mindful of and to manage difficult and intensely felt emotions; to tolerate distress and manage impulsive urges and to improve their relationships with others. In addition to having access to this direct therapy, all staff working at The Elms will be trained to reinforce the skills being developed by the young people.

Our Nurses require the following attributes,

We are looking for experienced nurses who are able to confidently assess risk, write care plans to a high standard and are committed to safeguarding our young people.

You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills. A strong commitment to your ongoing professional education and development is essential. There are a number of highly sought after training opportunities available for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality holistic person-centred care to children and adolescents that we support. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are able to therapeutically engage with young people, carers and external agencies.

To provide clinical leadership, motivation and guidance to develop both new and existing staff whilst maintaining commitment and high professional standards within the organisation.

PROVISION: The Elm’s (Bradford)

JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse RMN/RNLD

DBS LEVEL: Enhanced DBS with both Barred List Checked

RESPONSIBLE TO: Registered Manager

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Registered Manager

HOURS AND DURATION: 38.5hrs a week however part time hours can be discussed

The shift patterns include three long days one week and four long days the week after will be required to work weekends, bank holidays and rotate on to some nights to cover annual leave and sickness due to being a 24-hour service 365 days a year.

For the successful candidate, Associated Wellbeing can offer a vast range of training and development opportunitieswhich includes, but is not limited to, Trauma Informed Care and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Skills Training delivered by British Isles.

Benefits which Include:

· Salary – Between £35,000 - £45,000 however salary may be negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

· Annual Leave – 270 hours per year however this can be negotiable.
