Job Title: Band 5 RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) NHS
Location: Various NHS Hospitals and Wards across Hampshire
Hourly Rate: Days: £22, Nights/Saturdays: £28.29 Sundays/Bank Holidays: £34.51
Shift Pattern: Mixture of Days and Nights, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities of the Mental Health Nurse:
- Patient Care: Provide compassionate and professional care to individuals experiencing mental health issues, promoting recovery and wellbeing.
- Assessment & Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, develop care plans, and provide individualised interventions based on clinical guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, social workers, psychologists, and therapists to ensure holistic and integrated care.
- Mental Health Support: Administer therapeutic interventions, such as group therapy or one-on-one sessions, and monitor patient progress.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks to patient and staff safety, ensuring adherence to care protocols and reporting incidents appropriately.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines and data protection laws.
- Supervision & Mentorship: Support and mentor junior staff and students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Medication Management: Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring safe and effective use and monitoring for side effects.
Requirements for Band 5 Mental Health Nurses:
- Minimum of 18 months’ experience as a UK RMN
- PMVA (BILD accredited) within the last 3 years
- CSTF Mandatory and Statutory training required
- Registration with the NMC as an RMN
- Valid DBS
- Able to reliably commute to work with a car or public transport
