The Role

We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Design Engineer to support our growing fabrication team.

This is a hybrid role combining:

• SolidWorks design (using standard modules)
• Manufacturing drawing production (timber & Corian)
• Northern-based site surveys (measure-only)

You’ll play a key role in translating standard product layouts into buildable drawings, with light bespoke modifications where required.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create SolidWorks drawings using standard modules and assemblies
• Add bespoke elements only where needed
• Produce clear, production-ready drawings for timber & solid surface
• Generate accurate BOMs for manufacturing
• Carry out site measure surveys (dimensions only) across the North
• Capture basic site photos and constraints for client design teams
• Support the factory with drawing updates and queries

What We’re Looking For

• SolidWorks experience (essential)
• Manufacturing drawing experience
• Understanding of joinery / fabrication / solid surfaces
• Comfortable carrying out site measurements
• Practical, common-sense approach (not over-designing)
• Full UK driving licence
