Overview

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals within domiciliary care and home care environments.

This rewarding role involves supporting people to maintain their independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing within their own homes, in line with CQC standards and best practice guidelines. Drivers with access to their own car will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences, and care plans
• Support clients with daily living activities including personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Assist clients with meal preparation, hydration, and nutritional support while respecting dietary requirements and preferences
• Administer or assist with medication in accordance with company policies, training, and prescribed instructions
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to promote independence and wellbeing
• Support individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, physical disabilities, or other complex care needs with patience and understanding
• Assist with moving and handling tasks safely, using appropriate equipment and techniques in line with health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns, changes in condition, incidents, or safeguarding issues appropriately
• Support clients to attend appointments, social activities, or community outings where required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow safeguarding and first aid procedures when necessary
• Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care, nursing homes, or home care settings is desirable but not essential
• Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding principles
• Knowledge or experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or end-of-life care is advantageous
• Compassionate, respectful, and professional approach to care delivery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Physical ability to support mobility and moving & handling tasks safely
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is beneficial but not essential
• Basic first aid training is desirable; full training and ongoing support can be provided for suitable candidates

Pay: £13.64-£14.00 per hour
