Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sewing Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting fabrics or materials according to specified patterns and measurements. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with sewing skills to develop their expertise within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process.

Job Summary

Duties

  • Measure and mark fabrics or materials based on pattern specifications and production requirements
  • Ensure all cuts are accurate, consistent, and meet quality standards
  • Organise materials efficiently to minimise waste and optimise workflow
  • Operate industrial sewing machinery
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking material usage and reporting shortages or discrepancies
  • Undertake additional duties as required
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
