Ashcroft Hollow Nursing Home - Night Nurse

Part Time and Full Time Hours available: 24 to 48 hours per week at £20.75 per hour (paid breaks)

Shift time : 18:45- 07:00

To be considered for the role, you will need to hold current registration with the NMC. Having a compassionate and caring attitude, you will have adequate knowledge, experience and a clear understanding of the nursing role and its professional boundaries.

Be passionate about caring for the elderly and have a flair for helping people maintain their independence, choice and dignity.

You will lead the team and will be involved in continuous assessments, planning and evaluation of the residents, needs and wishes.

Deliver clinical guidance to the team, you'll lead, motivate the team, to ensure the safe and efficient day to day running of the unit.

Be able to create and maintain robust care plans.

Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines.

A willingness to coach, guide, support and mentor team members.

Clinical:

  • Perform comprehensive assessment of patients nursing needs plan implement and evaluate care delivery according to patients healthcare needs.
  • To demonstrate high standards of clinical practice.
  • To ensure high standards of patient care is given in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
  • To ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care through the development of written care plans.
  • To develop effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, relatives and other nursing staff to ensure they receive clear and accurate information.
  • Responsible for planning the work lead for the team you are allocated to work with on your placements.
  • Promote and follow infection control policy, adhere to handwashing procedure. Preventing hospital acquired infections.
  • Recognise and respond to emergency situations.
  • Supervise and participate in the education and training of other members of the nursing team.

Pay: £20.75 per hour
