Job Title: Band 6 or 7 Social Worker

Trust: Greater Manchester Mental Health

Location: Multiple sites

Ward: Multiple wards

Pay Rates: Negotiable

Band 6 £24.61

Band 7 £28.90

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours a week – Mon-Fri - 09:00 - 17:00 ( Minimum 30 hours)

In this role, you will:

  • Possess an active registration with Social Work England (SWE) ( Must be able to provide evidence)
  • Have a recognised professional qualification in Social Work (Must be able to provide evidence)
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a Social Worker in UK NHS / Private / Local Authority setting within last 2 years.
  • Be able to Undertake formal mental health assessments of new clients within own caseload
  • Assess, care-plan, provide interventions and evaluate and record community mental health interventions delivered to clients on own caseload.
  • Be required to work with people in their own homes as well as visiting service users in hospital to assess and care plan for treatment
  • May be required to participate on a Duty/ triage rota

You’ll need to have experience in some of the below requirements

  • Must have experience of working in mental health in the community ( Essential)
  • Be able to work Autonomously ( Essential)
  • A car for business purposes (Desirable)
  • Experience as a duty worker and responding to duty calls
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting staff to complete COP, DOL’S.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting staff with safeguarding, completing capacity assessments and completing social care assessments.
