Bank Housekeeper / Cleaner | Spire Norwich Hospital | Flexible Shifts | Bank Contract

Spire Norwich Hospital is looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper or Cleaner to join our Housekeeping Team on a Bank basis .

As a Housekeeper, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring our hospital environment remains clean, comfortable, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and colleagues. Your work will directly contribute to patient safety, infection prevention, and the overall experience of everyone who visits our hospital.

This is a flexible bank position, providing cover during busy periods, annual leave, and staff absence, making it ideal for those seeking work that fits around existing commitments.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Complete daily cleaning schedules to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
  • Prepare rooms and areas to the required layout and presentation standards.
  • Clean and maintain patient bedrooms, offices, public areas, toilets, and clinical support departments.
  • Work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to support the needs of the hospital.
  • Follow all infection prevention, health and safety, and COSHH procedures.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and appropriately.
  • Report maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns where required.
  • Support the wider housekeeping team to deliver an exceptional environment for patients and visitors.

Essential

Desirable
  • Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Experience working within healthcare, hospitality, hotel, or service environments.
Working Hours
  • Flexible Bank Contract (0 hours)
  • Ideally available to work up to 2 days per week
  • Department operating hours: 8:00am – 10:00pm
  • Shifts are typically 7.5 hours and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Monday to Sunday availability welcomed
