Job Title: Head of Events

Location: Hurley House Hotel, Berkshire, UK

Reports to: Managing Director

Salary: £60,000 per annum plus sales related bonuses

About Hurley House Hotel

Hurley House Hotel is an award-winning privately owned boutique hotel that opened in 2016. It is renowned for its exceptional hospitality, and bespoke event experiences. Located in the picturesque village of Hurley near Henley-on-Thames, Marlow and Maidenhead, we offer luxurious accommodations, elegant dining, and outstanding event spaces, making us a prime destination for weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Events Head to drive sales and take charge of all events at Hurley House Hotel. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong sales acumen, and have a proven track record in selling and executing high-end events.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Proactively generate leads and convert enquiries into confirmed event bookings, achieving revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and local businesses to drive event sales.
  • Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase the hotel’s event facilities.
  • Develop promotional strategies, packages, and seasonal offers.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service and ensure all guest expectations are exceeded.

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on event sales performance, identifying areas for growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of all bookings, contracts, and sales correspondence in the hotel’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely invoicing and payments.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in event sales and business development within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel or venue.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the local market and industry trends is a plus.
