Ready to lead something special?

We're not a corporate chain. We're an ambitious, independently owned Garden Centre with a restaurant and deli. We have a reputation for exceptional food, outstanding service and a loyal customer base. We're now looking for an experienced Hospitality Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations and help drive the business into its next stage of growth. This isn't just another management position. It's an opportunity to lead an established business, build an exceptional team, influence the customer experience and play a key role in our future development. If you're passionate about hospitality, love developing people and enjoy making a real commercial impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As Hospitality Manager, you'll oversee every aspect of the restaurant and deli, ensuring both operate efficiently, profitably and to the highest standards.

Leading Our People

  • Recruit, onboard and develop an outstanding team.
  • Create a positive culture where people enjoy coming to work.
  • Manage performance reviews and support team development.
  • Work alongside HR on employee relations and people matters.
  • Build strong staff retention through coaching and leadership.
  • Produce weekly rotas and manage holiday requests.
  • Deliver ongoing training and development.

Running Exceptional Operations

  • Oversee the daily operation of both the restaurant and deli.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of customer service.
  • Resolve customer feedback and complaints professionally.
  • Maintain excellent food safety, cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Continuously improve operational efficiency.

Driving Business Performance

  • Manage labour costs and staffing budgets.
  • Monitor Gross Profit (GP) and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Increase revenue through great service, operational excellence and commercial thinking.
  • Analyse performance and implement improvements.

Supplier & Stock Management

  • Build excellent supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate best value while maintaining quality.
  • Manage daily ordering and stock control.
  • Ensure effective stock rotation and minimise waste.
  • Review product performance and optimise stock levels.

Menu & Business Development

  • Work closely with our Head Chef on menu development and seasonal changes.
  • Design and update menus using Canva.
  • Help shape future growth plans for both the restaurant and deli.
  • Contribute ideas that improve the customer experience and drive the business forward.

What We're Looking For

You'll already have experience managing a successful hospitality business and be someone who enjoys leading from the front. You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in restaurant, café or hospitality management.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing GP, labour costs and profitability.
  • Confidence in recruitment, coaching and performance management.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with suppliers and stock management.
  • A positive, hands-on attitude with a passion for hospitality.

Why Join Us?

You'll be joining a growing independent business where your ideas matter and your contribution is recognised. We offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Staff meals while on shift.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • Genuine opportunities to progress as the business grows.
  • A supportive, ambitious and friendly working environment.

If you're an experienced hospitality leader who wants more than just another management role, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today with your CV and a short covering letter telling us why you're the right person to lead our restaurant and deli into the next exciting chapter.
