We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join The Diamond Inn, Ponteland, as a Trainee Assistant Manager, perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their hospitality career.

The Diamond Inn in Ponteland is a lively and welcoming pub known for its friendly atmosphere and vibrant local community. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in small hotel or B&B management, or with previous experience working with hotel bedrooms.

As we continue to grow, we're on the lookout for a passionate and ambitious Trainee Assistant Manager to join our management team. This is a fantastic chance for someone looking to take the next step in their hospitality career and develop into a strong leader within a varied and friendly environment.

As a Trainee Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager and Assistant Manager to support the smooth day-to-day supervising of the venue. You’ll gain hands-on experience in management operations and lead customer service, while being supported with training and mentoring to help you grow into a future senior manager.

This is a contracted position based on 40 hours over 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

-Support the management team in the daily running of the bar and hotel.

-Supervise front-of-house and housekeeping staff.

-Deliver exceptional service and ensure a positive guest experience.

-Maintain high standards of cleanliness.

-Assist with stock control, ordering, and cash handling.

-Be responsible for running the venue solo and completing both opens and lock ups.

We’re looking for someone who is:

-Passionate about hospitality and delivering great customer service.

-A natural team player with a can-do attitude.

-Keen to learn, grow, and take on responsibility.

-Organised, reliable, and able to thrive in a busy environment.

-Previous hospitality experience (village pub/coaching house or B&B) preferred.

-Ambitious to progress.
