Sales Office Manager

Purpose of Role

The Sales Office Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the reactive sales department creating a motivated team who are focused on delivery of consistent and detailed events for our clients through upselling and delivering exceptional customer service at all times.

About the role

· The Sales Office Manager will lead and develop the event sales team at the hotel.

· Oversee the day-to-day business and ensure all processes and brand standards are adhered to, ensuring attention to detail.

· Encourage the team to drive enquiry conversion and recognise opportunities to upsell to clients.

· Be hands-on in managing event sales with client when required.

· Develop relationships with key clients and agents to ensure repeat business.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide support the planning team as required.

· Hold site visits and client visits as required.

What we are looking for?

· The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role ideally in a high volume conference, weddings and events environment, with experience in managing a reactive sales team and excellent planning and organisational skills to lead their team in delivering often complex events across a large venue and the ability to influence budget and the Hotel 3 & 5 year plans by setting demanding but realistic targets and methods of achieving them.

· A strong process and standards approach to event sales is required.

· Proven people management and training experience is preferable.

· A self-motivated, detail-focused and can-do proactive attitude is required.

· Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and close attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
