Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle guest enquiries efficiently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele. The position offers an engaging environment within the hospitality industry, with opportunities to develop your guest service skills.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Assists with luggage as required
  • Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
  • Handle guest enquiries both in person via telephone and email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and written communication skills
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards
  • Process payments securely and issue receipts as required
  • Uphold hotel policies and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Experience

  • Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, reservation systems, or hospitality management software is advantageous
  • Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist international guests effectively
  • Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding guest services in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with hospitality standards and a professional demeanour are essential for success in this role
