About You

Do you have experience in food quality, food safety, auditing, or hospitality operations? If you’re confident working independently, have a sharp eye for detail, and want a hands-on role that helps raise food standards across Erith, Purfleet, Dartford and Thameside, this could be a strong fit.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Food Quality Control Inspector, you’ll carry out inspections for supply chain clients across Erith, Purfleet, Dartford and Thameside, checking that food products, meet client specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

Inspecting fresh and prepared produce in distribution centres across Erith, Purfleet, Dartford and Thameside, often in chilled environments.

Assessing quality against client specifications – including size, freshness, condition, packaging, and weight.

Recording inspections and non-conformances accurately using our digital inspection app.

Writing clear, concise reports for clients.

Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients and site managers.

Travelling to multiple locations each week and representing Audit Point professionally.

Working independently while ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.

What You Need to Succeed

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in the food industry or hospitality, ideally with a relevant qualification in Food Safety, Quality, or Health and Safety. Experience in any of the following areas would be valuable:

Food quality or technical teams

Food safety auditing or inspection

Catering or hospitality operations

Fresh produce, meat, or food production

Chef and catering professionals with a strong focus on quality and hygiene

Exceptional attention to detail – you can spot issues others might miss

Proficiency with mobile technology (iPad reporting)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage your schedule

Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle

Right to work in the UK

The Perks and Package

£13.00 / hour.

Mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile for all travel away from your base location

Company NEST pension + statutory holidays (pro rata)

Comprehensive training provided – no two inspections are the same

All equipment provided

Average 40 hours per week -Monday to Friday

Opportunities for further training and increased hours as our client base grows

Primarily based in Erith with further work in Purfleet, Dartford, Thameside and in the wider South East London area.
