Restaurant Manager (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Stanwell House Hotel, Lymington

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to join the team at Stanwell House Hotel on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Starting in late August, you will work closely with the current Restaurant Manager to ensure a smooth handover before taking full responsibility from 1st September.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day operation of our food and beverage outlets, including Samphire Restaurant, The Orangery, private dining and our popular garden service. Supported by an established and experienced team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences whilst maintaining the high standards for which Stanwell House is known.

About the Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will:

  • Lead, motivate and develop the restaurant team across all dining outlets.
  • Oversee service within Samphire Restaurant, The Orangery, private dining and garden service.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain the highest standards of hospitality.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and senior leadership team.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas and labour costs.
  • Ensure training, compliance and operational standards are consistently maintained.
  • Drive revenue opportunities and maximise profitability.
  • Take ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of all restaurant operations.

  • Has previous experience managing a high-quality restaurant or multi-outlet hospitality operation.

Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience, plus performance-related bonus and generous tronc. Final salary will be discussed during the interview process and agreed based on the successful candidate's experience and suitability for the role.

Contract

This is a 12-month maternity cover contract commencing at the end of August, with full responsibility for the role from 1st September. There is genuine potential for the position to become a permanent role for the right individual at the end of the contract.
