Full job description

The Crusoe is a characterful pub with rooms on the harbour at Lower Largo. We are looking for a warm, reliable Breakfast Server to be the first friendly face our overnight guests see each morning. Starting at 7.30am, you will open up the building and look after our hotel guests. We have seven beautiful bedrooms and you will deliver a relaxed and well run buffet and a la carte breakfast service.

This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys looking after guests, takes pride in getting the details right, and is happy taking ownership of a calm, early-morning service.

The job role:

· Open up the building each morning, ready for a 7.30am start.

· Welcome and look after our hotel guests — up to seven at a time — throughout breakfast service.

· Set up, run and replenish the breakfast buffet to a consistently high standard.

· Take orders and serve from the à la carte breakfast menu.

· Prepare and serve barista-style coffees and other hot drinks.

· Keep the breakfast room, service areas and stations clean, tidy and well presented.

· Handle occasional guest check-outs professionally and accurately.

· Anticipate guests' needs and respond to any requests promptly and warmly.

· Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained at all times.

We are looking for:

· Experience looking after guests, ideally in a hotel, pub with rooms, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.

· Confident making coffees; barista experience is an advantage.

· Reliable, punctual and trustworthy – you would need to be conformatble being responsible for opening the building.

· Warm, personable and genuinely attentive to guests.

· Well organised and able to work calmly and independently during service.

· A positive, can-do attitude and an eye for detail.
