Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant team, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold the highest standards of culinary excellence. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and fostering a welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards
  • Assist with cooking and food production as necessary to support team operations
  • Manage the service flow during peak hours to optimise guest experience
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed consistently across the premises
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain smooth operations
  • Provide training and ongoing support to team members to promote professional development
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and tact
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, dining area, and staff zones
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality services that reflect our brand values

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
  • Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety standards
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes
  • Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food safety regulations and hygiene practices
  • Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
  • Experience with barista duties or bar management is desirable but not essential
