Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and service, and a proven track record in supervising and managing staff within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment. Duties

  • Assist the Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house staff such as servers and baristas, as well as kitchen personnel involved in food production and preparation.
  • Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all departments.
  • Manage staff schedules, organise training sessions, and support team development initiatives.
  • Monitor service delivery to guarantee excellent customer experiences and handle guest concerns professionally.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies for the kitchen, bar, or service areas.
  • Support the implementation of organisational policies related to health & safety, food safety, and hospitality standards.
  • Contribute to menu planning and promotional activities to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
  • Experience in team management, leadership roles, or supervising staff such as servers or baristas.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations, including service standards and hospitality practices.
  • Good communication skills with a professional approach to customer service.
  • Previous experience in kitchen environments or food service roles is highly desirable.
