Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the New Inn in Coln St Aldwyns which is run by Baz & Fred. The New Inn is well known for its beautiful building, delicious food and fantastic menu. As well as having a busy restaurant there are 15 well presented rooms with consistently high occupancy.

We are looking for a dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, particularly within the hotel sector, and will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are impeccably presented. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Manage and train housekeeping staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development.
  • Conduct cleaning of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness is of the highest standard.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise workflow and maintain consistency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hotel industry is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment used in housekeeping operations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays.
