Full job description

JOIN THE DUGGLEBY TEAM

Duggleby Group is a long established, family run business with a strong reputation across Yorkshire. We take pride in maintaining welcoming, professional environments across our offices, auction rooms and holiday let properties, creating positive experiences for both our colleagues and guests.

We are looking for a reliable, organised and self-motivated individual to join our team as an Office & Holiday Let Housekeeper.

This is more than a traditional housekeeping role. Alongside maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation, you will take ownership of the day to day organisation of our holiday lets, help coordinate changeovers, manage stock and supplies, and work closely with our administration team to ensure properties are always guest ready.

We are looking for someone who wants to become a valued part of the business, takes pride in their work and enjoys the satisfaction of making a visible difference every day.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a varied, hands-on role working across our offices, auction rooms and holiday let properties.

You will have the independence to manage your own workload and organise your time effectively, whilst working closely with colleagues across the business. No two days are the same, and the role offers a rewarding mix of housekeeping, organisation and property support.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Housekeeping and Site Presentation

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across offices, auction rooms and communal areas.
  • Vacuum, mop and clean floors throughout company sites.
  • Clean kitchens, washrooms, staff facilities and welfare areas.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures and surfaces.
  • Empty bins and manage waste and recycling.
  • Maintain entrances and external areas to ensure a welcoming appearance.
  • Polish furniture and maintain professional presentation standards.
  • Clean and prepare jewellery and silver items for auction sales.
  • Ensure all facilities remain clean, organised and well presented.

Holiday Let Management and Housekeeping

  • Carry out holiday let changeovers and prepare properties for arriving guests.
  • Make beds, manage laundry requirements and maintain linen stocks.
  • Complete final presentation checks to ensure properties are guest ready.
  • Monitor and replenish guest supplies, welcome packs and consumables.
  • Liaise with the administration team regarding bookings, arrivals, departures and changeover schedules.
  • Help coordinate house keeping requirements around booking dates.
  • Report maintenance issues and ensure they are communicated promptly.

Procurement and Stock Management

  • Monitor stock levels across offices and holiday let properties.
  • Manage the ordering and procurement of cleaning products, refreshments and guest supplies.
  • Maintain coffee machines, refreshment areas and vending facilities.
  • Ensure all sites have the supplies required to operate smoothly and efficiently.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

This role is expected to be approximately 25–35 hours per week.

We are flexible regarding working days and hours and will work with the successful candidate wherever possible to create a working pattern that suits both the individual and the business.

As holiday let changeovers can take place throughout the week, including weekends, a flexible approach is important. In return, you'll have the opportunity to organise and manage your workload around bookings, housekeeping responsibilities and seasonal business needs.

The successful candidate will be trusted to work independently, plan their own schedule and ensure all offices, auction rooms and holiday let properties are maintained to the highest standards.

ABOUT YOU

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Take genuine pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards.
  • Are organised, reliable and proactive.
  • Enjoy working independently and managing your own workload.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Are comfortable coordinating multiple tasks and locations.
  • Enjoy being part of a close knit team and contributing to the wider success of the business.
  • Are confident communicating with colleagues, suppliers and contractors.
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours when holiday let bookings require it.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

Previous housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning, facilities or holiday let experience would be beneficial, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to take ownership are just as important.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A friendly and supportive family run business.
  • Flexible working arrangements where possible.
  • A varied role with responsibility and independence.
  • The opportunity to become a valued member of a respected local company.
  • A positive team culture where your contribution genuinely matters.
  • Long term stability and the chance to grow with the business.

APPLY TODAY

If you take pride in creating clean, welcoming environments and are looking for a role where you can take ownership, work independently and become an important part of a successful family business, we'd love to hear from you.

Join Duggleby Group and help us maintain the high standards our colleagues, clients and guests have come to expect.
