Head of Compliance, Health & Safety and Food Standards
Warehouse & Operations | Full-time | £55,000-£60,000 | Monday-Friday
Office Based - Edmonton, London

We're seeking a senior compliance leader to take ownership of food safety, health & safety and regulatory standards across a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment.

This is a newly created role in a growing food business, where you'll act as the subject matter expert for compliance, ensuring full adherence to legal, regulatory and internal standards while driving a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:
  • Leading all food safety and H&S compliance across warehouse operations
  • Ensuring full HACCP, hygiene, allergen control and BRC compliance
  • Owning audit readiness (internal, external and unannounced inspections)
  • Managing risk assessments, incidents and corrective actions
  • Developing and delivering compliance training across teams
  • Producing clear reporting and governance updates for senior leadership
  • Driving a proactive, embedded safety culture across operations
What we're looking for:
  • Strong background in FMCG, warehousing or logistics compliance
  • Deep understanding of food safety standards (HACCP Level 4 essential)
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
  • Experience with audits (e.g. BRC) and regulatory bodies (EHO/FSA)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Confident communicator with a structured, detail-driven approach
  • This is a hands-on leadership role with real influence over operational standards, safety culture and regulatory performance.
