About the role and the Team:

We are looking for a proactive and organised Field Network Asset & Programme Specialist to support the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our field network infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and long-term sustainability of critical telecommunications assets. Working closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project delivery teams, you will support asset lifecycle activities, maintenance programmes, performance reporting, and field-based initiatives that improve network availability and customer experience.

What will you be doing?

Field Portfolio Support

  • Support the day-to-day management of field network assets to ensure they are maintained effectively.
  • Monitor asset performance and escalate issues that may impact reliability, availability, or service quality.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and support reporting activities.

Maintenance Planning & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in the delivery of proactive maintenance programmes to reduce faults and repeat incidents.
  • Review maintenance and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the implementation of maintenance best practices and process improvements.
  • Contribute to asset lifecycle and obsolescence management activities.
  • Help identify ageing or underperforming equipment requiring upgrade or replacement.
  • Support planning and coordination of asset renewal initiatives.

Field Programme Delivery

  • Assist in the delivery of field programmes and maintenance projects, ensuring activities are completed in line with agreed plans.
  • Support programme tracking, scheduling, reporting, and coordination.
  • Monitor progress and highlight potential delays or issues.

Risk & Performance Monitoring

  • Help identify operational risks and support mitigation activities.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to regular performance reporting.
  • Support investigations into recurring issues and service impacts.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project delivery teams.
  • Provide timely updates on programme progress, risks, issues, and achievements.
  • Support effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.

What we are looking for?:

  • Experience within field maintenance, telecommunications, utilities, infrastructure, or a related operational environment.
  • Understanding of maintenance planning and asset lifecycle management principles.
  • Exposure to project delivery, programme coordination, or operational support activities.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
