Front of House Receptionist

Full-time or part-time | Evergreen Dentist

We are now looking for a confident, proactive receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice and a steady, dependable presence within the team.

About the role

This is more than a front desk position. You will be at the heart of our daily operations: greeting patients with genuine care, coordinating diaries, keeping clinicians informed and helping every patient feel valued and reassured.

You will also help keep our administrative systems organised and effective, making day-to-day life easier for patients, clinicians and colleagues. This is a permanent, long-term opportunity for someone who is ready to take ownership and grow with the practice.

You will be supported to learn the role quickly, with the aim of working independently on the core responsibilities within around two weeks. Over the following month, you will gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence, knowledge and capability grow.

Key responsibilities

 Deliver a calm, professional and welcoming experience from arrival to departure.

 Manage diaries, appointments and patient communications efficiently.

 Handle telephone calls, payments and emails promptly and accurately.

 Liaise confidently with patients, clinicians and suppliers.

 Maintain front-of-house standards that reflect the Evergreen brand: organised, polished and friendly.

 Support colleagues and proactively offer help when capacity allows.

 Contribute ideas that improve the patient journey and the smooth running of the practice.

About you

You will already have experience of working in a busy reception, front-of-house or office environment. You are naturally warm, reliable and composed, and you take pride in creating an excellent first impression. You enjoy structure, adapt well when priorities change and are confident communicating clearly when things get busy.

We would love to meet you if you;

 Have proven reception, front-of-house or office experience, with strong organisation and multitasking skills.

 Are confident using office systems such as Outlook and Excel.

 Can manage your time and priorities independently once trained.

 Bring a proactive, kind and steady approach to your work.

 Can offer reliable, year-round availability across both sites, RG1 and RG6, including occasional Saturdays.

 Hold a driving licence, which is preferred but not essential.

Experience in dentistry is helpful but not essential. What matters most is professionalism, warmth and a genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Hours and working pattern

This role is likely to include a mixture of early starts from 7:45 am and later finishes up to 6:30 pm, allowing us to offer flexible appointment times for our patients.
