Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, with a focus on hospitality, food safety, and guest satisfaction. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding service and culinary excellence.

Duties

  • Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements
  • Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and specials
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during service
  • Assist in food preparation or organising the dining area as needed
  • Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of each service period
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service station and dining area

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
  • Knowledge of food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
  • Culinary experience or familiarity with menu items can enhance service quality
  • Time management skills to ensure prompt service delivery
