Full job description

This is an ICT Level 3 Apprenticeship role - split 80/20 between employment with the employer, and learning & gaining qualifications with Solveway Apprenticeships!

Key Responisibilities

  • Manage, set up, and troubleshoot a wide range of IT equipment including servers, PCs, Macs, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Implement and support Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Work with DHCP, DNS, WSUS, MDT, and WDS.
  • Utilise knowledge of VLANs, Lightspeed, Google Suite, and M365.
  • Support Microsoft Azure and Intune environments.
  • Travel between various school sites to provide on-site IT support.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and work independently to resolve IT issues.
  • Maintain an approachable manner and excellent communication with school staff.

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £22,600

Desired Skills:

  • A passion for IT and technology.
  • Excellent understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of working within a school environment.
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, MDT, and WDS.
  • Knowledge of VLANs, Lightspeed, Google Suite, and M365.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Intune.
  • Basic knowledge of wireless protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and an approachable manner.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for travel between sites.

Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths A*-C/4-9 or level 2 equivalents.
