With a focus on empowering learning environments through innovative technology, AIT offers a range of services including IT infrastructure support, technical assistance, and strategic consulting.

Our experienced team is dedicated to delivering reliable, efficient IT services that help schools enhance teaching and learning experiences while improving day-to-day operations. Whether through system maintenance, troubleshooting, or on-site support, AIT is committed to helping educational institutions use technology effectively to achieve their goals.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated IT Network Manager to join our team and provide high-quality technical support and maintenance services within the local area.

Position Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day functionality of IT systems across local education sites. This includes installing, supporting, and troubleshooting a wide range of IT hardware and software, providing end-user support, and ensuring that systems remain secure, efficient, and up-to-date.

This is a hands-on technical role that requires a proactive and customer-focused individual who can work independently and communicate effectively with non-technical users. The successful candidate will work closely with the AIT HQ team and school staff to deliver exceptional IT support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff and students, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and interactive displays.
  • Support the deployment and updating of software across school devices and systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance of servers, networks, and backup systems to ensure consistent availability and performance.
  • Monitor IT systems for faults or performance issues, proactively resolving problems to minimise downtime.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and security settings in line with school policies.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and security protocols, reporting any issues or breaches appropriately.
  • Document all IT procedures, issues, and resolutions clearly for use by the wider team.
  • Collaborate with the AIT HQ team to support the implementation of technology initiatives at the local level.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices relevant to education IT environments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical IT support role, ideally within an educational or similar environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, etc.).
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with a user-friendly approach to support.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL) are desirable.
