Who are we?

Formed in 2003 and based in Hertford, ITS Digital provides IT support to customers ranging from home and business to the NHS. Our close working team of engineers and support staff focus on end-user support, both on customer sites and remotely. We have evolved our working processes over many years to provide the best and most efficient service we can, whilst still creating great customer relationships along the way.

We have a very low staff turnover and support our employees wherever possible, helping to foster a positive working environment.

Due to in-house promotions and expansion into new support areas, we are looking for keen and committed individuals to join our friendly IT support team.

Are you suitable?

The ideal applicant is someone who works well in a team, self-motivated, diligent, and thorough in their approach to IT. The role will involve working face-to-face with customers so good communication skills and politeness is highly important.

What’s involved?

This position is field based, within the West Hertfordshire area. This is a fantastic role for those who enjoy a role working with hardware, networking, and a variety of software issues. The successful applicant will have the comfort knowing that they are completely backed up by our great helpdesk, 3rd line groups and fellow engineers.

Training and environment

Training is provided to help fast track the successful applicant to succeed. During the probation period you will briefly spend time assisting the helpdesk in-house, where you can familiarise yourself with customers and colleagues alike. After this you will be sent into the field to shadow our experienced field engineers until you have the knowledge and understanding to work independently.

The primary environment is Windows 11 based, with most users utilising N365, a special version of Office 365. Given the NHS environment, there are many bespoke software packages that you will also receive training on.

Hours of work

Dependent on your circumstances and field requirements, initially the role is 9am (on-site) to 5.30pm, though variations of hours can be discussed and accommodated where possible.

The ideal applicant would have experience in the following:

  • 4+ Years’ within industry
  • PC Hardware Fault/fix
  • Windows 11 competent
  • Office suite competence
  • Printer Repair
  • Networking principles
  • Router & Switch diagnosis

Given the nature of the role a driving license is a requirement. Applicants need to be over 21 due to restriction on vehicle insurance. A company car will be provided.

Plus points for knowledge & experience:

  • NHS and/or other public sector
  • Remote desktop support
  • Previous helpdesk support role
  • Geographic grasp of the Hertfordshire area

Holiday

The holiday entitlement is 28 days including bank holidays accrued over the calendar year.
