Full job description
This is an opportunity to join a growing business, with a team of friendly and supportive technicians. A rewarding, diverse job, which provides on-site IT support to our school-based clients. We are an established IT company, that takes pride in our open and approachable nature. We encourage learning, with staff supported to develop towards their goals through onsite, online, and on-the-job experiences.
The candidate must have a friendly approachable nature, be able to communicate effectively and develop a good rapport with staff and clients.
You will be responsible for looking after our client's day-to-day 2nd line IT needs on a variety of client sites, while also being remotely supported by your colleagues and the wider team. You will be expected to visit different sites mainly in Coventry and the surrounding areas. The right candidate can expect a good deal of autonomy, flexibility, and freedom to make their own decisions, while working with an approachable and supportive management team.
This role offers the candidate a chance to work with, train and develop your skills in a variety of systems, such as Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Windows Server and more.
Car and driving license are essential for this role. Fuel expenses at 45p per mile (25p after 10'000 miles) are paid on qualifying journeys.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Be the IT technical support person to your assigned sites
- Provide an approachable, friendly service to customers and clients
-Resolve, advise and assist the client with IT issues that arise
- Carry out the requests and duties as directed by your line manager
- Work alongside existing technicians and further develop your understanding of the role
- Progress projects and assist with migrations at client sites
- Perform regular maintenance and checks in person or remotely
- Remotely resolve issues using the company’s helpdesk
- Provide occasional telephone support.
- Occasionally visit other client sites

Driving licence and car is required.

Essential Skills/Experience:
