With a team of over 900 professionals, we work to make things flow smoothly, whether it's for large organisations or individual employees. As businesses face rapid changes in the world of work, our team is here to help them adapt and thrive.
By focusing on the core needs of efficiency, productivity, growth, and impact, our employees use their expertise to deliver real solutions through our People and Finance platform. This system, which covers finance, HR, payroll, and learning, helps businesses run more smoothly and make better decisions in real time.
With over 40 years of experience behind us, MHR’s track record as a high-performance organisation is built on clear goals, a shared vision, and strong communication - all of which we pass on to our customers.
MHR is more than just a place to work; it’s a platform for empowerment. Joining us means bringing innovation, technology, and teamwork seamlessly removes obstacles, enhances your skills, and allow you to focus on what’s most important to you- work that matters.
With us, you’ll grow, find your flow, and make a lasting difference in your career, your team, and your impact.
Your Career
At MHR, our Corporate IT team plays a key role in enabling the business and our colleagues to work efficiently, securely, and confidently. We’re looking for an IT Systems Analyst to deliver and support toolsets and automation that enhance internal IT services, reduce manual effort, and drive continuous improvement.
This role offers the opportunity to support, learn and develop in an environment that is based around physical datacentre infrastructure. The opportunity to develop skills with physical infrastructure as well as using cutting-edge cloud technologies is becoming rare and is an incredible opportunity for professional development.
Your Team
You’ll join MHR’s Corporate IT team; a diverse group of IT professionals focused on delivering trusted and reliable IT services to the business. The team works closely with colleagues throughout MHR to provide practical solutions, improve tooling, and continuously enhance service delivery.
We value shared ownership, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. You’ll work alongside experienced IT professionals, contribute to projects and service improvements, and support the development of others while progressing your own technical capability.
Your Impact
As an IT Systems Analyst, you’ll improve how IT services are delivered across MHR by identifying automation opportunities, strengthening process consistency, and supporting colleagues through reliable, user focused tooling.
You’ll contribute to technical projects, service improvements, and incident resolution, while elevating your automation and service delivery skills within a collaborative, supportive environment.
Quality of delivery, and Pride in a job well done are the key qualities we are looking for in our new colleague.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a high quality, customer focused IT service, acting as an escalation point to ticket escalations, while supporting continuous service improvement and project delivery.
- Play and active part in developing the Corporate IT landscape, administering and optimising systems across servers, endpoint management, and core platforms to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Design and implement smart automation solutions that eliminate manual effort, increase consistency, and unlock operational efficiency across the business.
- Take a proactive, analytical approach to identifying root causes, driving improvement, and enabling proactive and pre-emptive solutions.
- Play a key role in delivering technical projects, producing clear documentation, and shaping service improvements, all while adhering to security best practices, governance, and change control.
- Strengthen team capability and resilience through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, while contributing to on-call support to ensure critical services remain available.
Skills & Experience
- A demonstrable background in delivering high-quality IT support and service delivery to IT service users, with a focus on delivering excellent customer experience.
- Experience of supporting, enhancing, and automating IT systems and tooling to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Proven ability to develop and support automation solutions and drive process improvements in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Confident in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues using a structured, analytical approach.
- Possess good organisational, time management, and team communication skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Inquisitive and proactive; with a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative and ownership of tasks.
Benefits to support you personally and professionally
Alongside the opportunity to work with an incredible team and express your individuality, we offer a range of personalised benefits including:
- Access to over 60 internal training courses, professional qualifications, and cross-departmental mentoring and coaching programs
- 24/7 access to a GP through Help at Hand for you and your family, confidential mental health support, and paid sick leave
- Ability to purchase or sell additional holiday days beyond 25 days and bank holidays
- Enhanced Family leave
- My MHRewards offering discounts at over 900 retailers
- Monthly employee recognition program and departmental awards
- Referral bonus scheme of up to £2,000
- Employee-led social events such as running clubs, football teams, book clubs, and bake-offs
- On-site subsidised restaurants offering a variety of fresh meals daily
- Opt-in benefits schemes such as private medical insurance and dental coverage
We value the well-being, financial stability, and inclusivity of our employees, and strive to provide a supportive working environment.
At MHR, we’re completely committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where all voices are heard, and everyone feels valued and supported.
Whatever your background, abilities and experiences, if you’re excited by this role we want to hear from you. If you require assistance for an interview, please let us know and we’ll make sure your needs are met when you arrive.
If we receive an exceptionally high volume of applications, we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than originally advertised.
