Full job description

IT & Systems Coordinator
Nicholls Group |Based Kirdford, West Sussex

Technology moves fast. Business doesn't stop. We need someone who can keep up with both.

We're a growing, family-run group of companies based in rural West Sussex — and we're looking for an IT & Systems Coordinator who can keep our people connected, our systems running, and our business moving forward. This isn't a sit-and-wait-for-tickets role. We need someone switched on, proactive, and genuinely excited about what technology can do for a business.

What the role covers:

From setting up a new starter's laptop to managing our Microsoft 365 tenant, owning Monday.com across the Group, and supporting our own bespoke business systems — this role touches everything. You'll be the single point of contact for all things IT across multiple companies and sites, supporting everyone from office staff to field engineers.

  • Day-to-day IT support for all staff — hardware, software, network, the lot
  • Microsoft 365 administration — Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Intune
  • Managing and developing Monday.com as our central project and CRM platform
  • First-line support for our bespoke internal business systems
  • Device lifecycle management — building, deploying, and decommissioning kit
  • IT security, backups, and business continuity
  • Supplier and vendor management — you'll own those relationships
  • Leading IT projects — new offices, fibre, VoIP installs, and more

What we're looking for:

  • Solid, practical general IT skills — you're the person people call when things go wrong, and you fix them
  • Comfortable setting up new systems from scratch, not just maintaining what's already there
  • A genuine understanding of AI tools and where they fit in a modern business — we're already investing in this and we need someone who gets it and can help us stay ahead
  • Microsoft 365 confident — ideally with admin experience
  • Good communicator — you'll be working with Directors, field teams, and everyone in between
  • Proactive and organised — you'll manage your own workload and spot problems before they become crises
  • Adaptable — no two days will look the same

Why Nicholls?

We're not a corporate IT department. We're a tight-knit team that does real work — boreholes, ground source heat pumps, civil engineering, water licensing — and we need IT that actually supports that. You'll have genuine ownership of this area, direct access to Directors, and the opportunity to shape how technology works across the whole Group as we grow.

Sound like you?
