IT Trainer jobs

Due to growth and demand from our existing and new UK and Overseas OEMs, we are currently seeking to recruit an automotive Technical Trainer.

The successful candidate will join an existing team of Technical Trainers delivering industry leading and engaging training to Technicians at all levels. The deliverable curriculum ranges from basic electrics, guided diagnostics, high voltage assessment through to new model technical launches. The delivery can be via a fully blended approach, utilising both virtual and face to face delivery.

Competence in High Voltage systems is a pre-requisite for this role due to the shift by OEMs over to electrification of its vehicles. Applicants holding a recognised EV qualification are preferred but not essential as IMI Level 3 and 4 training can be obtained as part of your personal development.

You need to be prepared to deliver outstanding results and have a real passion for learning & development in the automotive industry, along with being a brand ambassador for the OEMs and its vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional learning experiences every time to those being trained
• Deliver agreed number of days training through a blended approach of live events, virtual and face to face courses
• Deliver technical and other brand training on a project by project basis with a range of Calex partnerships in the UK and Overseas, at varying intervals and durations
• Support if required, any technical adult and apprentice training within the range of Calex partnerships in the UK
• Provide ideas for continual improvements to course structure and delivery to improve learning experiences
• Create and maintain training solutions that deliver added value and link these to the developing of content in multiple formats
• Adapt delivery style to the audience, retaining consistent delivery for key messages and impactful learning experiences

About You

• Experienced Technical Trainer with a minimum 3 years’ experience
• EV Level 3 qualification, or equivalent
• Strong personal presence, confidence and credibility
• Be able to interact with a wide variety of delegates
• Ability to recognise and respond to different learning styles
• Be articulate and able to influence and inspire others
• Be a self-starter who understands the need to be flexible
• Willing to travel and stay away from home for periods of time
• To have the ability to deliver blended learning methods including Virtual training delivery to a high standard
• Hold a teaching/learning qualification
• Hold a UK passport and have the ability to travel worldwide
• Have a proactive and flexible approach within the learning environment and a can-do attitude
• Be able to work both in a team and alone

Salary & Benefits: £45,000-£50,000 dependant on experience. Working Hours: Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week

Pre-employment Checks: Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate.
