With an expanding portfolio of well-known clients, our own headcount has increased steadily within the last few years to keep up with the external demand. With this growth we are now seeking an experienced, hands on technical IT Manager to join and lead our internal IT team. This team was formed 12 months ago to deliver a best-in-class support service to our staff, and we are now seeking to augment the skillset we have in-house with an experienced hands-on lead.

You will join us as the leader of this vital team, bringing your years of experience and advanced technical ability to bear. The role is varied and challenging and represents an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of two IT Support Engineers
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Windows Hybrid Domain, Microsoft 365, and end-user computing
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automating tasks related to AD/AAD management
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions for managing and provisioning AD/AAD resources
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Hybrid AD/AAD configurations and automation scripts
  • Document configurations, processes, and procedures related to Hybrid AD/AAD management
  • Implement and maintain strong controls for identity and access management
  • Establish and maintain robust asset management protocols
  • You will split your time between operational work to support our staff, and development projects to refine and extend the capabilities of the IT estate
  • Monitor adherence to security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across the organization
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve security posture and mitigate risks
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate security controls and identify areas for improvement

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Minimum 3 years experience in Azure; Specifically, Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Firewall, Azure Networking, Azure Site Recovery & Azure Sentinel
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing or mentoring a small IT team
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an IT/EUC support role
  • Windows system administration; Active Directory & Windows Server 201x
  • Scripting; PowerShell/Bash
  • Ticket Management experience; ITIL


  • Linux administration; CentOS, AlmaLinux
  • Automation tooling; Terraform, Azure DevOps & Ansible
  • Database administration; MS-SQL
  • Internal network design, implementation & management
  • Experience in setting up office wired & wireless networks to serve 20-200 users
  • Past experience in setting up and managing office internet access and secure inter-office communications

The successful candidate must be able to travel regularly to either our Glasgow Office - G1 1RE, or our Edinburgh Office, EH12 5HD.
