EET Personal Adviser

First Rung is a leading independent learning provider with centres in Ponders End (Enfield) and Colindale (Barnet/Brent). We offer a range of provision catering mainly for young people in the 16-24 age range. Our programmes include apprenticeships. vocational programmes for young people and special educational needs and NEET provision.

We are currently recruiting for an EET Personal Adviser who will work with vulnerable young people on our programmes and support them in progressing sustainably to employment, education, or training. The post holder will provide end to end support and guidance to participants and work with them throughout their time on programme.

Key duties include:

· Assessing needs and barriers to progression

· Provision of information, advice, and guidance

· Programme planning and target setting.

· Coaching and mentoring

· Delivery of personal development training and support

· Provision of personal, social, and pastoral support

· Progression planning

· Coordinating access to enrichment activities

We are looking for someone with significant experience of providing information, advice and guidance and pastoral, personal development, and progression support to NEET young people. Experience of working with vulnerable young people in at least two of the following groups:

· Looked after children or care leavers.

· Those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

· Those involved in substance misuse and/or criminal activity.

· Young carers

· Those with special education needs or a disability (SEND)

Proven teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with young people who have experienced disadvantage is essential. So too, is the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in supporting learner progress.

As a minimum, candidates must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English, mathematics, and ICT. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential. Candidates should the Information Advice and Guidance qualification at level 3 as a minimum or be willing to achieve it within a specified timeframe.

The role will involve travel between First Rung’s centres so possession of a car and full, clean driving licence would be helpful.

Salary will be paid at a point on the pay scale that reflects candidate skills and experience.

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
