About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Analyst (Middle East & Africa) to join our Analysis & Investigations (A&I) Team. This is a senior role responsible for leading complex analytical, investigative, and capability development projects, while delivering high-quality intelligence products for a diverse client base.

As a regional specialist, you will play a key role in developing innovative intelligence outputs focused on the Middle East and Africa, transforming complex information into actionable insights that support client decision-making. You will combine advanced OSINT expertise, investigative experience, and deep regional knowledge to deliver impactful analysis across a range of security, geopolitical, and commercial risk environments.

Working closely with the Head of Analysis and Investigations, you will help shape the organisation’s analytical capabilities, support business development activities, and provide leadership and mentoring to Analysts and Senior Analysts within the regional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of high-quality intelligence reports, assessments, and research products in line with company standards.
  • Manage research projects from inception through to delivery, coordinating inputs from analysts and researchers to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and insightful written intelligence outputs using established analytical and editorial methodologies.
  • Apply geospatial analysis where required and collaborate with specialist teams to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytical products, processes, and methodologies.

Capability Development

  • Support the continued development of analytical and investigative capabilities across the business.
  • Lead the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new OSINT tools, techniques, and data sources.
  • Maintain strong awareness of emerging intelligence technologies and industry best practice.
  • Support training initiatives and knowledge sharing across the A&I Team.
  • Utilise internal databases and intelligence platforms to provide historical and regional context within reporting.

Business Development Support

  • Support commercial activities through research scoping, client briefings, presentations, and proposal development.
  • Provide regional expertise and analytical insight to support prospective and existing client requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of geopolitical, security, and industry trends affecting the Middle East and Africa.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Line manage Middle East & Africa Analysts and Senior Analysts, supporting their professional development, performance, and progression.
  • Provide analytical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with regional teams and wider business functions to maximise intelligence capabilities.
  • Design research strategies, collection plans, and reporting approaches to meet evolving client needs.

Wider Business Support

  • Provide specialist research, analysis, and reporting support across the organisation as required.
  • Promote the company’s values, products, and strategic objectives while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

About You

You will be an experienced intelligence professional with a strong background in OSINT, investigations, and regional analysis. You will have the ability to manage complex projects, produce high-quality written intelligence products, and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will demonstrate:

  • Fluency in at least one relevant regional language (Arabic or French essential).
  • Significant experience conducting OSINT collection and investigations.
  • Deep knowledge of geopolitical, security, and risk trends across the Middle East and/or Africa.
  • Exceptional written English skills, with experience producing and editing detailed analytical reports.
  • Confidence delivering presentations, briefings, and client-facing discussions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring analysts.
  • A creative and solutions-focused approach to developing intelligence products.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and staying current with industry developments.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing research or intelligence projects to deadlines.
  • Advanced OSINT knowledge, including collection techniques, investigative methodologies, and data integration.
  • Experience developing intelligence products for clients or commercial audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful insights.
  • Experience producing long-form written reports and editing contributions from multiple sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of intelligence requirements and client-focused reporting.
