Full job description

We are looking for dependable individuals with a flexible attitude and strong work ethic to join our customer’s Berthing & Mooring Operations team at the Port of Immingham.

You will work to a rolling shift pattern based on the tide, meaning unsociable hours and night shifts will be part of the regular routine. You’ll be responsible for the safe securing and release of vessels arriving and departing at the Humber ports – primarily at Immingham.

You do not need prior experience – full training is provided, including mooring skills and CHIPS (port safety induction). All PPE is supplied. What you do need is your own transport, a full UK driving licence, and a positive, team-focused attitude.

This is a hands-on, physical role in all weather conditions and requires close coordination with vessel crews and the Dock Master’s team. Safety is our number one priority, and we welcome applications from conscientious, diligent individuals.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own transport (essential due to shift patterns)
  • Safety-conscious and dependable
  • Willing to work outdoors in all conditions

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience mooring vessels
  • Previous port or marine industry experience
