About

I run a fast-growing reselling education brand with a following of over 300,000. I'm scaling my YouTube channel and I want it to look and feel like proper cinema, the documentary-vlog style of creators like Iman Gadzhi. Think "a week in my life building the business," shot in London and on the road. I need a videographer who can make that happen and who actually understands YouTube, not just someone who owns a camera.

This is not corporate video work. This is fast, ambitious, creator-economy content where the standard is high and the pace is quick. If you watch a lot of YouTube and you can break down why a video kept you watching, you'll get it immediately.

What you'll be doing

  • Filming cinematic vlogs and "day/week in my life" content in London and on travel shoots
  • Capturing clean A-roll and rich b-roll that tells a story, not just nice shots
  • Getting broadcast-quality audio on every shoot, this is non-negotiable
  • Shooting with the edit and the thumbnail in mind, you understand the video is built around the hook and the first 30 seconds
  • Pulling vertical clips from the same footage for short-form (reels and TikTok)
  • Bringing creative ideas to the table, you're a partner on the content, not just a button-presser

Who you are (must-haves)

  • You own professional kit and know how to use it: a full-frame or capable mirrorless body, gimbal, wireless mics, drone, and lighting
  • You shoot in 4K and grade your footage so it's consistent and cinematic
  • You understand YouTube specifically: hooks, retention, pacing, and why packaging matters
  • You have a showreel or channel that proves you can shoot the cinematic-vlog look
  • You're reliable, professional, and can keep up with a young founder moving fast
  • You're free to travel and flexible with shoot dates

Bonus points

  • You can edit as well as shoot, or you've worked closely with editors and understand the workflow
  • You've worked on creator or personal-brand YouTube channels before
  • You have your own drone and FAA/CAA drone permissions for legal aerial work
  • You're genuinely into the creator space and the entrepreneur content world

How to apply

Send three things:

  • Your showreel or portfolio (or your best 2 to 3 YouTube vlogs you've shot)
  • A list of your kit
  • One short paragraph: pick a YouTube video whose hook or retention you rate, and tell me in a couple of sentences why it works

I'll be honest, the third one matters most. It tells me whether you think like a YouTuber or just a camera operator. Skip it and I'll skip the application.
